C1250: ABS Inlet Valve Coil LR Circuit Failure

C1250 is a chassis code that points to a fault in the anti-lock braking system, specifically a circuit failure in the inlet valve coil for the left-rear wheel. The ABS inlet valve controls brake fluid flow to the left-rear caliper during an ABS event. When the ABS module detects that the coil circuit is not behaving as expected, whether due to an open, short, or resistance outside the acceptable range, it logs C1250 and typically disables ABS operation until the fault is resolved.

The most common causes are a wiring fault in the circuit running between the ABS module and the left-rear valve, a failed or corroded connector at the hydraulic control unit, or an internal fault in the ABS modulator itself. Start by visually inspecting the wiring harness and connector near the HCU for damage, chafing against chassis components, or corrosion. Resistance testing across the valve coil circuit will confirm whether the coil has failed or the fault is in the wiring.

Because this code disables ABS on at least the affected channel, your normal braking will still function but you lose anti-lock protection on that corner. That makes it a high-priority repair rather than a car that is simply fine to keep driving. Normal braking works, so nothing will feel wrong on the way to a workshop, but the anti-lock protection you would want on a wet or loose surface may not be there, and those are common enough conditions here.
